In late June we had over 8" of rain in a 10 day time span.  The pond filled right up to the edge of the road.  At left is "Father Oak", and at right "Grandfather Oak"

      
The Summer brought us visitors!  A beautiful pair of deer, and lots of birds to the backyard feeder.  Oops, looks like "Spike" knows where the birds are! 

After a long time of begging, Daniel got his wish.  A Golden Retriever Puppy joined our family in July 2000.  "Goldie", at left, proved true to the breed, and loved water!    Meanwhile "Amy", at right, was growing fast!  The two became great friends"

By August even Sugar had become friends with "Goldie" and we all enjoyed a Summer in the pool.

"Sassy"  convinced me to let her spend a day inside, it wasn't too hard to decide to let her stay when she'd curled up with Mickey and Goofy.
